These policies apply to all sessions run by Mammoth and Mint Education Ltd.
Health & Safety Policy
Mammoth & Mint Education Ltd is committed to providing a safe environment for all children, parents, staff and visitors.
- A risk assessment will be conducted before each session at the hired venue.
- Fire exits, first aid provision and emergency procedures will be identified at each venue before sessions begin.
- Any accidents or near-misses will be recorded and reviewed.
- Equipment and materials used in sessions will be checked for safety and age-appropriateness before use.
- The Director holds overall responsibility for health and safety.
Equality Policy
Mammoth & Mint Education Ltd is committed to treating all children, families and staff fairly and without discrimination.
- We welcome children and families regardless of race, religion, disability, gender, or background.
- We comply with the Equality Act 2010.
- We will make reasonable adjustments to ensure sessions are accessible to all children where possible.
- Any concerns about discriminatory behaviour will be taken seriously and addressed promptly.
Child Protection & Safeguarding Policy
Mammoth & Mint Education Ltd is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children in its care.
- Children will be supervised by a responsible adult at all times during sessions.
- No child will be left alone with a member of staff or volunteer in a closed space.
- The Director is the designated safeguarding lead.
- Any concerns about a child's welfare will be reported to the appropriate local authority (Lambeth/Croydon children's services) without delay.
- All adults working with children will be DBS checked before working with Mammoth & Mint.
- Parents/guardians will be required to provide emergency contact details and consent before their child participates.
- Photography or recording of children during sessions requires explicit written parental consent.
